Are you shouting it from the rooftops or would you like to remain annonymous?
Ms G.P preferred to remain somewhat annonymous and as such will be referred to as Ms G.P in all mediums.
What was your first reaction when you found out that you had just won R1,5 Million in the Oz Monday draw?
"My reaction was [I thought] it was a joke, I don't do the jumping up squeeling kind of thing, I was quite calm but I just needed to verify"
Who was the first person you shared the news with?
"No no I haven't told anyone, I'm thinking about it first".
What made you place a bet on Lottostar today, because we see you haven't placed a bet since September last year?
"I've been thinking about it for a while, just not getting to it. When I went back to work in the middle of Jan I thought you know what I think I've got a few rands still available, I'm just going to take a chance and so today I did and that was it! I normally do the EuroMillions but for some bizarre reason it was like do the Oz one, just I don't know. That was the best R10 ever spent."
Did you have any thoughts about winning before you placed your bet?
"No, not at all. It's a case of, I've got my ticket in, I've got my chance, as much as the next person."
When you placed your bet, did you select your own numbers or did you use the Quick Pick (QP) feature?
"It was a Quick Pick. A Quick Pick, believe it or not!".
Do you know what you will be doing with your winnings?
"I've got a few things in mind but it's mostly going to be invested."
What does this amount of money mean to you and your family?
"Ok well the family don't know but for me, I'm due for pension in a couple years, I went through a couple of rough patches of being retrenched several times, so you know there's not much in way of a pension so that's my tiny little nest egg. There are children involved so you know I'm not going to keep it all, they will get something but the rest is MINE, it was my R10".
What do you think of Lottostar and your experience?
"I've never had a problem, I think they're wonderful. People need to use it becuase people win things, believe it or not".

"Yes, I'm ready for the UK one over the weekend."
