Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA) - selected by Elana-Afrika Bredenkamp.

CANSA was established in 1931 for the fight against cancer. It's mission is to enable research "with regards to lowering cancer risk, educating the public regarding symptoms, screening and risk reduction, and providing care and support to all people affected by cancer.".

CANSA connects people suffering with cancer, as well as their loved ones, to build a community. This assists with information, day-to-day help and emotional support.

Donating to CANSA assists the foundation in the following ways:

• Cancer research
• Advocacy: making the decision-makers of the country aware of changes that need to be made to reduce the publics' cancer risk as well as to protect the rights of those suffering from cancer
• Promoting Early Detection: screening and early diagnosis allows more effective treatment
• Online Care and Support
• CANSA care homes

In addition, CANSA has introduced The Smart Choice endorsement programme which aims to reduce the exposure of carcinogens and other risk factors associated to cancer development by adding their trademark to products that have undergone testing proving the product has complied with being of a "smart, healthy, balanced life style".
