CANSA connects people suffering with cancer, as well as their loved ones, to build a community. This assists with information, day-to-day help and emotional support.
Donating to CANSA assists the foundation in the following ways:

- Advocacy: making the decision-makers of the country aware of changes that need to be made to reduce the publics' cancer risk as well as to protect the rights of those suffering from cancer
- Promoting Early Detection: screening and early diagnosis allows more effective treatment
- Online Care and Support

In addition, CANSA has introduced The Smart Choice endorsement programme which aims to reduce the exposure of carcinogens and other risk factors associated to cancer development by adding their trademark to products that have undergone testing proving the product has complied with being of a "smart, healthy, balanced life style".
Supporting CANSA helps to continue the fight against cancer in South Africa.
