Five South African celebs took to the hot seat on Deal or No Deal, airing on SABC channels 1 and 2 with Katlego Maboe as the host.

Like any other contestant, the celebs could have won anything between R1 and R250,000. However, all their winnings went to their chosen charities.

Kicking off the special celeb week was reality star, Lasizwe Dambuza, who won R28,500 for Reach for a Dream — a foundation dedicated to making a difference in the lives of children facing life-changing illnesses.

Next up was DJ Lamiez Holworthy, who played for Seitebogo Peta Cleft Palate Foundation and won R40,000 which will go towards repairing cleft palates in children born with cleft lips to boost their confidence.

Culinary queen, Siba Mtongwana made an appearance and banked R30,000 for Etafeni Day Care Centre – a multipurpose centre for children infected and affected by AIDS in Nyanga, Cape Town.

Selby Selbeyonce Mkhize made an appearance in pursuit of raising funds for the Soul Winning Community, an organization that takes care of the elderly, orphans, and sick people. Selby won R100,000 on their behalf.

Kfm’s Sibongile Mafu wrapped up the week and won R4,700 for Girls with Wings which is an organization that aims to restore dignity in the lives of homeless and underprivileged women by providing them with basic healthcare, sanitation and menstrual materials.

A huge shoutout to all the celebs who played their hearts out for their charities of choice.

Catch Deal or No Deal every weekday on SABC 1 at 19:30, with repeats on SABC 3, at 17:30. To enter the show, visit their website for your chance to win up to R250,000 in cash.
