I flew all the way from Cape Town to Johannesburg and entered both competitions—by pure luck, I made it to 947! I'm absolutely over the moon about this big win!



Absolutely! I'm very superstitious and I kept seeing signs that this was meant to happen. I chose the 11th ScratchCard in round 3, inspired by my favourite scripture and here we are now.


Tell us about the final, nail-biting moment!


When it came down to the final round, the other two contestants got to pick their cakes first and I was left with the last one. In my heart, I knew that the last cake was meant for me—and I was right! Seeing that burst of gold confetti after cutting it open was an unforgettable moment. Flying to Joburg from Cape Town turned out to be the best decision ever.

It feels like a dream come true—so unreal, yet incredibly exciting to say that I’m officially a millionaire!



No, I never even thought I’d make it to the final round. But here I am and it’s surreal to have made it this far!


What was going through your mind during the last round?


I just thought I’ve made it this far in the competition, so whatever’s meant to happen will happen. When I saw gold in the cake, I immediately knew that I have just won the R1 Million grand prize.



Firstly, I want to pay off my debts, set a date to get married, finally spoil my kids and secure a better life for them.
