A whopping R891,000 was raised by Jacaranda FM listeners during the Summer of Millions competition. These funds will be directed towards supporting Jacaranda FM's Good Morning Angels.

Good Morning Angels (GMA), hosted by Martin Bester, the anchor of Jacaranda FM's breakfast show, represents an initiative driven by the goal of assisting, inspiring, and making a positive impact on diverse individuals and communities. It honours the radio station's dedication to actively contributing to creating a better society.

GMA will back the following heartwarming initiatives, funded by the proceeds of LottoStar's Summer of Millions collaboration with Jacaranda FM.

Hercules Community Policing Forum
The Swartland Community Band's journey from Malmesbury to Pretoria for a marching band competition took an unexpected turn when their sponsored bus had an accident. Stranded and without a way back home, they received support from Hoërskool Tuine Tech and the Community Policy Forum (CPF), who mobilized the community for assistance.

Through resilience and community spirit, they safely returned to Malmesbury. Thanks to the contribution of R50,000 from LottoStar's Summer of Millions competition, the CPF can continue their essential community work, showing that even in adversity, unity and compassion prevail.

Pimp my Wheels
Nokuphila, meaning "Life" in Isizulu, faces the challenges of Spina Bifida which resulted in her being paralyzed from the waist down, but she approaches each day with enthusiasm.

Her daily commute to work in a heavy, second-hand wheelchair is a struggle. With the donation of R50,000, she will be able to obtain a new lightweight wheelchair and any other mobility aids she may need, enhancing her daily life.

Bela Bela Fire Protection Association
Recent wildfires have devastated regions, particularly Limpopo province, where game reserves and farms were destroyed, leaving animals without grazing land.

Bela-Bela Fire Protection Association aids in these areas. Experts estimate a need for two months of animal feed due to damaged grazing areas and gestating animals.

A donation of R100,000 will provide crucial animal feed and supplements for affected reserves and farms. Your support can help safeguard these animals and aid in their recovery.

Ché’s Motorbike accident.
Two years ago, Ché suffered a severe leg injury in a motorbike accident. She faces another major operation and a bone graft to reattach her broken femur, hindering her mobility and job prospects.

Ché received R130,000 to cover the operation and other medical needs. Your support will aid her recovery and aspirations.

Stay tuned to GMA on Jacaranda FM to find out how the rest of the funds from the competition will be allocated.
