LottoStar is the proud sponsor of the thrilling game show, Deal or No Deal SA, airing on SABC 1, every weekday at 19:30 with the repeat on SABC 3, at 17:30.

In the premier week of the show, celebrities such as Thando “Thabooty” Thabethe, Robert Marawa, Zahara, Bongani Bingwa and Darren Simpson were contestants aiming to raise funds for various charity organizations that are close to their hearts.

Thando Thabethe, as the first contestant in the show raised R7,500 for The Lunchbox Fund – an organization that aims to address food insecurity among school children by providing nutritious meals daily.

The second episode of the show saw the popular sportscaster, Robert Marawa plays for the Diepsloot Secondary School and raised an incredible R46,500. The funds raised will go towards the school’s feeding scheme and other classroom activities.

The award-winning and multi-talented Zaraha appeared in the third episode and raised a whopping R100,000 for the Zahara Army Charity Organisation. This was the highest amount raised during the premiere week. Zahara Army Charity Organisation is an organization founded by the singer which runs various initiatives, from providing disadvantaged learners with school shoes to empowering young people in any way possible.

Radio personality, Bongani Bingwa took the hot seat and raised R38,000 for Little Eden, an organisation that provides life-long care to children and adults with profound intellectual disability

To wrap up the celeb premier week was radio personality, Darren Simpson, who raised R5,000 for the Kensington Home for the Aged.
