Good Morning Angels (GMA) is a Jacaranda FM breakfast feature, that allows people or listeners to nominate those in need in their communities, by connecting them to the right sponsors or funders to assist. It airs every Wednesday on “This is Breakfast with Martin Bester” between 6-9am. Jacaranda relies on sponsors and funders to assist those in need.
Just recently, GMA assisted a grandmother from Centurion who lost her husband, daughter and granddaughter in a fire. She received assistance from two sponsors or angels as formally referred to. The first angel offered the deposit and rent towards the grandmother’s new flat, as well as a cash donation of R50 000 towards her utility bills and other expenses. While the second angel contributed towards her groceries and renovation for her grandson’s room.
Some of GMA’s charity initiatives include finding sponsors to fund treatments for cancer patients, a hearing aid kit for a toddler born with a unique condition, a bursary for a young matriculant from Soweto and medical assistance for a badly burnt toddler to receive treatment. More of these great initiatives by GMA are found on Jacaranda FM’s website.
LottoStar loves to give back to the community and recently gave away R275 500 to different charities along with the presenters of Jacaranda FM. And we’re doing it again! LottoStar has chosen GMA as the beneficiaries of the additional winnings in this “How lucky can you get?” competition.
It’s time to give back to the community this March, so make sure you join LottoStar and Jacaranda FM on this memorable journey of giving back!
