How does it feel to win in our first ever Gold Bar Giveaway?
I’m at a loss for words. I have been praying to win something big from LottoStar. So, when I found out about the Gold Bar Giveaway, I knew I had to had to participate because I was already going through financial difficulty and needed a miracle.

Did you have a feeling you would win?
Yes, I did have this funny feeling that I’d win and when I saw an SMS from LottoStar about the giveaway, I knew I had to try my luck and it paid off at the end.

What was going through your mind during the Gold Bar Giveaway?
I was busy with work and I got the reminder SMS about the giveaway which was about to take place from LottoStar. A few minutes later, another one came through congratulating me on winning. In my mind I thought the winnings would be R3000 or something small but I couldn’t believe my eyes when I finally opened my profile to check my credits and that it was a huge amount.

Why did you opt for the money, rather than the 1kg gold bar?
I needed the money more because I have family dependent on me financially and also the debts that I need to pay off.

How will you be spending your money?
Apart from going back to school and investing in my daughter’s education, I was busy renovating my home, so I would like to wrap it up. I want to venture into some sort of business which will be run by my sisters who are currently unemployed. I am the sole breadwinner providing for 8 family members. The money will relieve me of a lot of my financial responsibilities.

Who was the first person you shared the news with?
My mother and my sister. We usually buy vouchers and bet on the games together.
