February was all about bold moves, tough choices and wins as some of Mzansi’s biggest stars took the hot seat on Deal or No Deal Celebrity, proudly sponsored by LottoStar, Your World of Live Games.
With giving back at the heart of the game, these celebs faced the Banker, hoping to secure a win for worthy causes.
Here’s a look at the unforgettable moments from February:
Babes Wodumo – R60,150
The Gqom Queen played with confidence, rejecting the Banker’s offer in hopes of something bigger. The shocker was that briefcase 15 was hiding R250,000! Still, Babes walked away with R60,150 for Muthande Society for the Aged, an organization dedicated to supporting the elderly socially, economically and physically.
Pearl Modiadie – R250,000
Pearl made power moves and they paid off! She secured the ultimate R250,000 prize for Tshepang Care Centre, a beacon of hope for vulnerable individuals in Tembisa. For the scoop on Pearl’s big win, click here.
Mpho Popps – R35,220
Mpho Popps brought laughs and he walked away with R35,220, but the real twist was that he turned down a R100,000 deal from the Banker! A tough call, but hey, a win is still a win and P.U.S.H (Persevere Until Something Happens) will benefit greatly. This community-based organization serves as a day care facility for orphaned and vulnerable children.
Zulu Makhathini – R118,000
With his cool, calm and collected demeanor, Zulu Makhathini locked in R118,000 for Thanda, an organization creating lasting change. Their Community Centre is a safe space for children, featuring a library, an Early Childhood Development Centre and a digital lab. Zulu’s win will go a long way to empowering young minds.
The life-changing wins continue! Don’t miss the next episode of Deal or No Deal Celebrity. Tune in every Saturday, on SABC 1 at 18:30.
