A family of four met with tragedy earlier this year. The family’s matriarch and sole breadwinner, Juanita, was savagely attacked by two grown Pit Bulls. The two dogs ripped her skull open, tore one of her breasts, arm and leg.

She was in ICU for about a month fighting for her life.

The wife and mother of two young boys, aged 9 and 14 years old, is now unable to work. She suffers from severe memory loss. She cannot write nor walk properly due to the incident.

The family and owners of the pit bulls have also been helping the family, however, it’s still not enough as Juanita’s family is now behind with their rental and electricity bills.

There’s also no food in the family’s household. The young boys have only had two slices of bread each, in two days.

LottoStar and 947 will be contributing grocery vouchers worth R5,000 towards the family for the next 12 months – which is a total of R60,000.
