Meet today’s LottoStar & 947's 12 Days of Joy recipient, Tammy, who’s described by her husband and nominator, Ben Smith, as a supermom and fighter.

Tammy runs two businesses of her own and has a 3-year-old daughter with Ben.

However, life’s tumultuous events crept in for this courageous ‘supermom’.

She lost her paraplegic mother on the 1st of August 2020, to what’s believed to be a heart attack and a few months later, Tammy was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS).

According to Ben, these unfortunate events have taken a toll on Tammy. She is still battling to deal with her mom’s passing.

“She’s having sleepless nights and near nervous breakdowns and yet still keeps going”, explained Ben.

She buries herself in her work and hasn’t taken a break from work, “sometimes I have to remind her to eat, take her meds and the list goes on”, said Ben.

Ben believes that a timeout is all Tammy needs at the moment, but his funds are ‘ridiculously low’.

To assist Tammy to ‘distress and debrief herself’, we would be contributing a total of R20,000 towards her desired ‘breakaway weekend with the girls’.
