LottoStar launched our first ever Gold Bar Giveaway in July 2022, where players had to participate in at least 4 Reel Jackpot Races to qualify. The first prize winner would walk away with a 1kg gold bar and second to 11th place win cash prizes of R10,000 each.

With our first Gold Bar Giveaway taking place on Wednesday, 13 July at 7PM, B.C made history by becoming our first ever 1kg gold bar (at the value of R934,685) winner. This was his heart-warming story after he had won.

• How does it feel to win in our first Gold Bar Giveaway?
  This is an exciting gift from God because of the financial situation I was in. I feel like my prayers have finally been answered. Although, I’m still in disbelief. I spent last night crying, praying and thanking God for this miraculous gift which came right on time.
  
  
• Did you have a feeling that you’d win?
  Not at all. The giveaway did cross my mind; however, I was hoping for the R10,000 prize because that amount alone would have changed my life. Little did I know I’d take the grand prize. I never thought I’d win.
• What was going through your mind during the Gold Bar Giveaway?
  Well, firstly I had no data, so I had to use my girlfriend’s cellphone. Then halfway through the race, I received a text saying, “Congratulations”, which implied I had won something. When I saw the amount on my profile, I was in disbelief.I couldn’t even speak.
  
  
• How will you be spending your money?
  My business is in desperate need of a financial boost. The grand prize came in handy. I’m in the business of recycling scrap metal, with this money, I will now be able to settle my business debts, secure premises for my business, invest in a metal press machine. I also intend to share some of it with my mom and my local church that have always supported me when I was down.
  
  
• Who was the first person you shared the news with?
  As I mentioned, I was using my girlfriend’s phone, so obviously she was the first person who knew. I called my mom afterwards and asked that her not to tell anyone.
   
• Have you ever won anything on LottoStar?

Yes, but it wasn’t a major win like this one.

• What’s your favorite LottoStar game?
  I always try out several games, from Reel Rush to Roulette because LottoStar offers some of the most amazing games, it’s hard to choose.
