If you were in your early 20s and won one of the world's biggest lottery draws, what would you do? A young Melbourne resident has bagged A$50 Million (R585 Million) after making a last-minute decision to buy a lotto ticket on his smartphone.

The Australian winner, in his early 20s, opted not to boost the payout. Had he gone ahead to boost it, he would have walked away with the A$100 Million (R1,1 Billion).

The payout booster option available on the Oz Powerball draw allows the player to choose the payout they would like to win – from the lowest to the highest value.

The lucky winner bought the entry ticket on the Oz Powerball app shortly before the draw was about to close and discovered he had won before he went to bed.

“This is life-changing”, explained the latest Oz Powerball winner.

"I'm going to look after my whole family, invest money in property and shares. It will make a massive difference to a lot of people”, he said.

The second winner of the life-changing payout remains unidentified. However, the entry ticket was purchased in Canterbury.

The pair were the only two to share in the A$100 million (R1,1 Billion) jackpot won with the numbers drawn being 3, 13, 27, 31, 32, 33, 35 and the Powerball number of 3 and where the odds of winning the prize being 1 in 134,000,000.
