“I was overcome with emotion; it was tears and laughter all at once. It’s still surreal.”

What are you going to do with your winnings?
“I’m not sure yet. I might put it towards my bond, but I will definitely go on a vacation with my family and just celebrate.”

Did you have a feeling that you would be a winner?
“Not really, no! Two days prior, I was involved in a motorbike accident. So, I was feeling quite down at that stage when I got the call. I was so stunned. I would’ve been amazed with five or ten thousand rands. I did not expect to win this amount of money.”

What was your first reaction when you found out that you had won R250 000?
“Stunned! I was speechless. When I got the call from Wackhead Simpson, I thought it might be someone pulling a prank.”

“I will spend the money on my family, but I have a family member that I will be giving a small amount to. I believe in giving back.”
